Early posting…

on December 6, 2012

Before I begin this trip to the future, I would just like to announce that today would have been the 56th birthday of one of the most influential guitarists of all-time, former Quiet Riot (and Ozzy Osbourne guitarist) Randy Rhoads.  Tragically taken from us on March 19, 1982 in a tragic plane crash, his unique playing style has been often imitated but can never be matched.

RIP Randy Rhoads…December 6, 1956 – March 19, 1982…your light will forever be missed.

The next time I should be posting is Saturday, December 8.  However, due to the fact that I will not be in front of my computer (as I have to take care of family business), I have decided to post my next blog today.

December 8th is a day that will forever be linked to two of the most heinous crimes in human history.  The tragic deaths of John Lennon (1980) and Dimebag Darrell (2004) will be etched in everyone who every follows music for all eternity.  They are, and always will be, two of the biggest music pioneers that this planet will ever lay eyes on.

John Lennon, upon returning home one night with Yoko Ono to his New York apartment, was confronted by self-professed “fan” Mark David Chapman, and heinously gunned down in cold blood.

Dimebag Darrell, who was performing that night with his group Damageplan, was also gunned down by a guy named Nathan Gale but, due to the fact that Gale was killed on-sight, we will never know his motives…even though there is no excuse acceptable.

These two brilliant performers will forever be missed here…
